Massage therapy focuses on rotating and stretching limbs, joints, and pressure points/meridians, as with traditional Chinese medicine. Massage therapy uses pressure with thumbs, hands, and/ or elbows to the pressure points on the body to help circulation and thus helps improve body function.
It’s important to incorporating massage therapy into an acupuncture treatment plan to achieve the best possible outcome.
Massage helps with reducing stress, anxiety, depression. Relief for arthritis, injuries, insomnia, digestive disorders, neck and shoulders as well as backaches (sciatica). It can also help with coughs, colds, and other sinus and respiratory problems.
Jeannie received her massage & esthetician training through Bend’s Sage School of Massage. She has been practicing massage since 2012. She decided to pursue massage after years of long distance running and an interest in the health and wellness field.
She has worked in both the spa and medical sides of massage. She is passionate about trying to combine both the physical healing of massage with also the relaxation and stress relieving side of it.
When she is not at work, she is busy being a mom, and enjoying running the trails around Bend.
